Objective:

The aim of the Pick and Place Robotics Competition is to conceive and construct a robotic system capable of accurately retrieving objects from one location and depositing them in another within a defined area. The competition intends to evaluate the precision, speed, and efficiency of the participating robots.

How to participate?

  • Click on the 'Register' button.
  • A minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants per team is compulsory.
  • Complete the registration form.
  • Submit the registration fee.

Game Play:

  • Each team is given a 5-minute duration to complete the path in the pick and place bot arena, which consists of a total of 2 checkpoints.
  • "Bot-'n'-Block" competition picking object is 20X20X20 centimeter and weight is 250 grams
  • In gameplay have 2 checkpoint and 4 picking objects
  • Every participant's team picks up the object and deposits it at the diagnostic point.
  • If the bot derails, stops or drop an object in between, team shall reset the bot to the last cross check point
  • Scoring:
    • Each team will receive 25 points on crossing every check points
    • Each team will have three chances if the bot derails, stops and drop object on the path. For each chance used, they will lose 5 points.
    • The team that completes the race fastest will be declared as the winner.
    • In the event, none of the team able to complete the race, no winner will be declared even if team has scored point

Robot Specifications:

  • Construct a wired or remotely controlled wireless bot.
  • The bot's dimensions must fit within a 20X20X15 centimeter cube. Its maximum weight should not exceed 3 kilograms (including the battery for wirelessly controlled bots).
  • Batteries used should be of a sealed, immobilized electrolyte type (NiCad, Dry cell or lithium).
  • For a manual Bot controller, the wire length should not be more than 2 meters.
  • The electrical voltage within the machine should not surpass 12V DC at any point in time for the robot.

Rules:

  • All participant bots must meet the specifications outlined in the 'Robot Specifications' section. Any failure to meet these specifications might lead to disqualification.
  • The robot must not be assembled from any pre-made kits; if found to be so, the team will face disqualification.
  • Only team members are allowed to handle the bot. Mentors, coaches, or non-player's interference will lead to the team's disqualification.
  • The bot will be liable for disqualification if it causes any kind of damage to the arena.
  • If a participant's bot exceeds the time limit during the gameplay, they must remove the bot from the arena.
  • If the robot goes off track, stops, or drops picking objects during its gameplay, using all three chances, the participant has to take the robot out of the arena.
  • Any aggression or misconduct during the competition will lead to the team's disqualification.
