Objective:
How to participate?
- Click on the 'Register' button.
- A minimum of 2 participants per team is compulsory.
- Complete the registration form.
- Submit the registration fee.
Robot Specifications:
- Construct a wired or remotely controlled wireless bot.
- The bot's dimensions must fit within a 20X20X15 centimeter cube. Its maximum weight should not exceed 3 kilograms (including the battery for wirelessly controlled bots).
- Batteries used should be of a sealed, immobilized electrolyte type (NiCad, Dry cell or lithium).
- For a manual Bot controller, the wire length should not exceed 2 meters.
- The electrical voltage within the machine should not surpass 12V DC at any point in time for the robot.
Game Play:
- Toss:
- A coin toss winner will choose the side of the arena.
- Game Duration:
- The Game Will the played for 10 min which are divided into 4 quarters of 160 seconds each
- Both teams switch sides at the end of each quarter both teams get a maximum of 30-seconds to switch sides and place their bot at string positions
- No stoppage time will be allowed during the entire game except for the 30-second switch time each quarter. i.e. time will continue even after scoring a goal. However, if any team is found wasting the time of the game, the opponent team will gain 5 points for each slot of 10 seconds of wasted time.
- The above time-west criteria will be applicable even in case of the bot malfunction
- Scoring:
- Teams will get 10 points for each goal scored
- Team with more points at the end of game will be declared as the winner
- If the final score of both teams is equal at the end of regulation time, a penalty shootout will be conducted to determine the winner. All rules governing the penalty shootout are detailed in the 'Rules' section.
Rules:
- Robot
- All participant bots must meet the specifications outlined in the 'Robot Specifications' section. Any failure to meet these specifications might lead to disqualification.
- Bots should not be assembled from pre-made kits. If a bot is found to be assembled using pre-made kits, the team may face disqualification.
- Participant bots are not allowed to have any sharp objects or damaging substances that could potentially harm the opponent's bot.
- Specifically, the kicking part of the bot should not have any sharp or pointed edges to prevent injury or damage during gameplay.
- Penalty & Fouls
- Any use of body parts to touch the play area will be considered foul play. In every such instance, the opponent team will receive 5 bonus points.
- In case of a wired bot, If the wire deliberately obstructs the opponent's game, it will be considered foul play. In every such instance, the opponent team will receive 5 bonus points.
- Any unwarranted aggression or misconduct during the competition will result in a yellow card. If a team receives two yellow cards, the opponent team will be awarded 10 point.
- In extreme cases, if any team receives a red card, the opponent team will be declared as winner irrespective of the points
- Any interference from mentors/coaches/any non-player will result in the opponent team receiving a 5 bonus point for evey instance.
- Penalty Shootout
- In the event of a draw at the end of regulation time, a penalty shootout will determine the winner.
- Each team takes five penalty kicks alternately against the opponent team's bot.
- The operators designated to take penalty kicks must be different for each attempt, and the same operator cannot take consecutive penalty kicks unless all operators have been utilized.
- Penalty kicks will be taken from a designated spot on the field and within a specified time frame.
- The team with the most goals after five penalty kicks each will be declared the winner.
- If the score remains tied after five kicks, a sudden death round will occur, with each team taking one penalty kick alternately until one team scores, while the other misses.
