Objective:
Line follower robotics competitions involve autonomous robots following a predefined path marked by a visible line on the ground. The goal is for the robot to navigate the course accurately and swiftly while maintaining alignment with the line. These competitions challenge participants to create robots capable of detecting and following the line using sensors, control algorithms, and precise maneuvering.
How to participate?
- Click on the 'Register' button.
- A minimum of 2 and participants per team is compulsory.
- Complete the registration form.
- Submit the registration fee.
Game Play:
- Each team is given a 5-minute duration to complete the path in the line-following bot arena, which consists of a total of 4 checkpoints.
- If the bot derailed or stops in between, team shall reset the bot to the last cross check point
- Scoring:
- Each team will receive 10 points on crossing every checkpoints
- Each team will have three chances if the bot derails or stops on the path. For each chance used, they will lose 5 points.
- The team that complete the race fastest will be declared as the winner
- In the event, no of the team able to complet the race , no winner will be declared even if team have scored point
Robot Specifications:
- Construct an autonomous Bot.
- The bot's dimensions must fit within a 15X15X10-centimeter cube. Its maximum weight should not exceed 500 grams (including the batteries).
- Batteries used should be of a sealed, immobilized electrolyte type (lithium, NiCad, or dry cells).
- The electrical voltage within the machine should not surpass 12V DC at any point in time for the robot.
Rules:
- The robot must not be assembled from any pre-made kits; if found to be so, the team will face disqualification.
- Pre-Game Setup: Prior to the competition's commencement, each team will be allotted 2 minutes to calibrate their robot and conduct trial or testing runs.
- During competition, reprogramming the robot or modifying its parts is strictly prohibited. However, with the referee's approval, adjusting the sensors is permissible.
- Only team members are allowed to handle the bot. Mentors, coaches, or non-player's interference will lead to the team's disqualification.
- The bot will be liable for disqualification if it causes any kind of damage to the arena.
- A robot can initiate a run restart if the person handling it deems it necessary. A restart request is acceptable if the robot fails to follow the line, halts midway, or loses track of the directions or black line.
- Upon any restart, the robot must be repositioned back either at the starting point or the last successfully passed checkpoint.
- Only 3 restarts are allowed.
- Any aggression or misconduct during the competition will lead to the team's disqualification.
